Dear Clinical Students,


We are excited to announce that the clinical training course will be launching soon! This course is a vital step in your medical education for getting the M.B.,B.S degree, providing hands-on experience in real healthcare settings. After six months of this training and exam, the academic board will confer the provisional M.B.,B.S degree certificate. 

Expected Date of Graduation - 05/2025 (May/ 2025) 


Eligibility:

Students who have successfully passed the CCE Theory Exam and have completed the Pre-Block Assessment (Assessment Date 28/10/2024) are eligible to enroll.


Next Steps for Eligible Students:


Eligible students are required to follow these steps for their upcoming clinical rotations:

  1. Attachment to a Training Center:
  • All eligible students must attach themselves to an accredited hospital or a General Practice (GP) clinic for their clinical training.
Rotation Requirements:
  • Students must attach themselves to a hospital or a GP clinic to complete their rotations in Medicine and Pediatrics.
  • For Obstetrics & Gynecology (OG) and Surgery rotations, students are required to be attached to a hospital only.



Important Note:

  • GP attachments can only be applied for Medicine and Pediatrics rotations.
  • For OG and Surgery, students must attach themselves exclusively to a hospital.



Clinical Posting Structure:

  1. Medicine & Pediatrics3 Months
  • Attachment at either a GP clinic or a Hospital.
Surgery & Obstetrics & Gynecology (OG)3 Months
  • Attachment at a Hospital.


Affiliated Hospitals and Training Centers Accepting Students:

  1. Luke Hospital – Karenni State
  • Currently accepting students.
Nway Oo Kyan Mar Hospital – Karenni State
  • Currently accepting students.
Mae Tao Clinic
  • Not accepting students.
Hospital in Shan State Special Region 1 (Kokang)
  • Currently accepting students.
Kawthoolei State Hospitals 



Important Note:

Students are allowed to attach themselves to hospitals or training centers based on their preferred regions, provided the facility offers teaching in clinical core subjects. You are responsible for communicating with the hospitals directly to arrange your attachments.


We will also have a short briefing before the course.
